PHONE SYSTEMS

Phone Systems:  This includes true premise-based phone systems (you own the hardware) and hosted solutions (pay for voice phone service monthly).  Although Ravenhurst has the ability to make recommendations across a wide range of platforms and solution sets, our sweet spot is Avaya (otherwise known as AT&T / Lucent Technologies / Avaya).  In short, the Avaya Systems are the offspring of the original “Ma Bell” and Bell Labs, the folks who invented the phone system.    

However, we do have more limited support of the legacy Nortel & Comdial systems.  And through our Partner arrangements can also provide support for Cisco and ShoreTel. 

Why Avaya in such a competitive market?

- Market Share:  Still with leading market share, and the massive legacy base from their early origins Avaya still dominates the market in many ways.  And what difference does that make?

- Parts and Support:  Because there are so many systems installed, Avaya customers should always find it easier to find ongoing technical support.

-System Feature Functionality:  AT&T (Ma Bell) invented the phone system, and Bell Labs spent billions over the years studying how people communicate and what features assisted with this.  Most all phone systems have very similar sets of features; but they almost all started with AT&T / Lucent / Avaya.

-Depth of support:  Avaya remains on of the few vendors in the market today that still offers, along with it’s layers of Business Partners, direct manufacturer’s support.  Even the smallest business can still get a direct, on-site, maintenance Agreement from Avaya if desired!

Inside Connectivity:  Wiring and cable jobs.  But this also includes wireless technologies as more & more folks choose NOT to be tethered by a cord.
